Phra Raja Wang Derm was the service lycee of Thailand. Prior to this, it was the authoritative residence of His Majesty King Taksin the Great in the 18th century. It is to be found on the guard of Chao Phraya River.
King Taksin regained Thailand's distinctiveness. He made Thonburi his possessions. Earlier it was named the Vichaiyen Fort and King Taksin remodeled it and called it Vichaiprasit Fort. This was a knock-down fortress, located in a strategic location. It was favorable for dominant both, territorial army operations and commercialized purposes at the same time.
King Taksin went on to increase the boundaries of the Palace.

His Majesty King Rama I became the sovereign after King Taksin and he shifted his capital to Bangkok, where on earth he build a new castle. The Palace of King Taksin was called the Phra Raja Wang Derm besides certain as the resourceful hall. The mansion had its importance due to its strategical location and many big line members of the sovereign ever stayed near. When H.M. King Rama V became the king, he gave Phra Raja Wang Derm to the Royal Thai Navy in February 23,1900. The armada born-again the mansion house into a armed service academy.
The armed service restored the hall and made it its naval lycee business office on with a seminary location and King Rama V inaugurated the naval gymnasium properly. The armed service middle school remained set in that dirt 1944 and consequently it was shifted to Sattahip due to the 2nd worldwide war.
Presently the structure is used as the Office of Naval Secretariat.
